The 80/20 Manager offers managers 10 Ways that they can enjoy becoming great managers. Here are the book’s closing words:

The secret of being an 80/20 manager is to realize sky-high aspirations through intelligence and acute observation instead of through toil and trouble. Like angels, we can soar and lift humanity while scarcely flapping our wings. But unless we care deeply about specific results, and unless our ambition is boundless, we will never even take off.

Extraordinary results are possible with ordinary effort – if we really care about achieving those results. The virtue of this book is that it is immensely practical.

The genius of the 80/20 Principle is that it is counter-intuitive.  The genius of Richard Koch is that he makes the counter-intuitive accessible.

Read this book and you will enjoy it.  Live this book and you will find it is a game-changer.

Simple ideas that can turn your business and your life around. I highly recommend it.

Al Ries, author, War in the Boardroom.

Richard is one of my favorite business authors and his latest book is perfect for any business person who has people to manage. What I love about this book is that Richard has a totally different viewpoint about getting great business results. His core principle is that you can achieve amazing business results through other people with surprisingly little effort. And in this book he gives you ten proven strategies to create amazing business results through people with far less effort and work than you are probably using right now. Put this book on your ‘must read’ list.

The 80/20 Manager enables managers to develop a deliberate management model to achieve more with less – this book could not have come along at a better time than now – where we are compelled to cut back and pressed to deliver more. Applying each of his 10 different ways step by step enables you to apply this to your world of work immediately so that you can become connected, effective and more successful. In particular his thinking is perfectlyt aligned to the future world of work which we know is going to be very different from the 20th century management model we are currently familiar with.
An eloquent read with relevance for anyone who believes they have room for improvement as a manager today. So looking forward to becoming an effective 80/20 Manager and multiply my results. So here we go to firing the customers, the people and the products that fail to contribute to the 80% of our results. Away with 50/50 thinking that fails to deliver super success.

This is a refreshingly different and practical book on how to be a MUCH better manager. I’ve been a fan of Richard Koch for some time and this book certainly does not disappoint. It’s actually useful to anyone who works in business and has a brain!

Yes, one of Richard Koch’s ten ways to be successful is to be lazier. It sounds crazy but he gives lots of examples and it makes sense. I haven’t read anything like this before and I am impressed.
